A key trade show and annual meeting point for the South American gaming industry, SAGSE Gaming & Amusement opens its doors today for its 22nd edition. Visitors have the chance to meet local industry organisations, partners and suppliers over the three-day event in Buenos Aires Capital.
Noticeably smaller than previous editions, the show floor is alive a combination of international best sellers and market-attuned games for land-based and online sectors. Global suppliers present this year including IGT, Aristocrat, Konami and JCM are each showing a selection of their latest innovations for the region. SBTech, a global sports betting provider, is sponsoring the main bar at the event.
IGT is displaying some key products for the region on its slot lounge, with international and local executives on hand to discuss the company’s progress in South America. The Helix™ cabinet will make its Latin American debut on Aristocrat’s booth, next to hit titles Buffalo Stampede and The Walking Dead, as well as the sleek E*Series gaming series, and new Oasis OneLink System.
Konami has a strong line-up at the show, debuting its Podium Monument™ cabinet and Rapid Revolver™ video/mechanical hybrid machine in the region. JCM is also present in Buenos Aires again this year with a line of innovative transaction technologies and its new DNA total peripheral management system. The company will also host Argentinean operator training during the event.
The major gaming bodies from Argentina will take presence at SAGSE, including Asociación de Loterías, Quinielas y Casinos Estatales de Argentina, A.L.E.R.A, ALAJA, Camara de Agencias Oficiales de Loterías, IPLyC, Federación Argentina de Cámaras y Asociaciones de Lotería Quiniela y Afines, and Lotería Nacional and CET of Córdoba.
Exclusive events will be an integral part of this year’s proceedings, including the first edition of SAGSE University, Global Gaming Women (GGW) and a GLI University® training seminar. Companies represented this year are showing commitment to the Argentina during difficult economic times and as such the event organiser, Monografie, has introduced the Corporate Welfare Certifiate.
“This Certificate concept emerged from a survey made among the most important regional operators,” explained Alan Burak, SAGSE General Manager, “that expressed that they would rather make business with companies inside the SAGSE trade show instead of the ones that are not there,” added Burak. “We want to outline this city is located in a very convenient place, because it is connected with the main airlines that offer direct flights from around the world.”
