For the first time at G2E in Las Vegas, NOVOMATIC and Ainsworth will be showcasing their products in a combined stand that promises to exceed the expectations from players and operators alike. Recognizing the US market as a key part of the company’s international growth strategy, Lawrence Levy, VP Global Sales NOVOMATIC, highlights the significant growth made in the region during the last twelve months.
Innovate Gaming: Please describe the NOVOMATIC Booth #1259 setup at G2E 2017 and your product highlights.
Lawrence Levy: This is the first year that we will present a combined NOVOMATIC and Ainsworth booth, exhibiting a wide selection of products that cover all bases of land-based and interactive gaming. Both brands have their own areas in the booth as well as product specialists who will demonstrate the latest innovations to visitors. For Ainsworth, a highlight will be Pac-Man™ Dynamic Edition, the second Pac-Man slot that brings one of the most recognisable arcade games into casinos. Other new products to watch out for include Hao Yun Dao, an Asian-themed linked progressive, as well as AnyBet, a linked progressive system that can connect to any Ainsworth game.
On the NOVOMATIC side, we are excited to launch our new licensed slot ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ that will make a dramatic appearance at the show. We will also debut several new slot games for the US and international markets on a range of cabinets including the highly successful V.I.P. Lounge™ that is being released for US casinos. An industry standard in Europe is our NOVO LINE NOVO Unity™ II system, which has been growing in popularity in the US over the last several months – we are presenting this ETG system at G2E with Spread-Bet Roulette, an innovative side bet developed by Cammegh that gives players a new betting option on roulette.
Another first will be the launch of the OT300 cabinet by Otium that presents the latest in video bingo technology and will preview new bingo titles such as Bingo Copacabana and Bingo de los Cielos. In our interactive offering, Greentube will be on hand to present the latest from the NOVOMATIC Interactive division, including Greentube Pro – the private-label social casino solution that allows land-based casinos to offer a full online experience. Additionally, our systems division Octavian will present its WAP solutions as well as the well-established MyACP casino management system.
IG: What progress has NOVOMATIC made in the US over the last 12 months?
LV: The past year has been significant for us in the US – NOVOMATIC Americas has grown its team in the areas of sales, marketing and product development. We have expanded in the Illinois VGT market with new games rolled out monthly. Our games and cabinets are making an impact in both commercial and tribal casinos with games such as Asian Fortunes™ and Phoenix™ as notably hits. We are also putting a lot of emphasis on our ETG solutions and are in the process of announcing some major deals. Greentube Pro has also expanded and has launched social casinos at Foxwoods® in Connecticut, Treasure Island in Minnesota and Mount Airy in Pennsylvania.
IG: How important is G2E Las Vegas for NOVOMATIC?
LV: The Global Gaming Expo continues to be one of the most recognised and highly attended events in our industry and allows us to meet customers and exhibit our latest range of products to the market. This year we are again bringing teams from North and South America, as well as from our headquarters and around the world. The US is a key part of our international growth strategy, and G2E is an ideal platform to show the progress of NOVOMATIC and Ainsworth brands in the region.
IG: Which are your top performing products in the US market?
LV:We launched the V.I.P. Lounge™ cabinet in the US street market this time last year – and it is already on track to becoming our most successful product in the country. We are, therefore, anticipating a high uptake in casinos once it becomes available at G2E. Especially in the Illinois VGT market, the 1709 NGI Innovate Gaming cabinet has provided a key differentiation of luxury and the VGT Magic Games HD game set, in particular, has struck the right chord with players. We have also seen successes on our standout NOVOSTAR® V.I.P. Royal and NOVOSTAR® V.I.P. III cabinets, as well as our ETG products that are creating unique stadium-style live gaming experiences in casinos.
IG: What are the latest technologies and innovations you are working on?
LV: Some of our most popular games in the US market such as Asian Fortunes™ are being shown at G2E for the first time running linked progressive jackpots, which is something we’ve been working on recently and very excited to present. The launch of ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ is also something of a first for NOVOMATIC as we have traditionally not gone down the licensed route in our international casino products. However, this game was developed from the ground up for the US market and is just the start of our technological advancement in the region.
